About Me
My earliest memories of writing were as a result of discovering my dad’s journals when I was about 13 years old. I was amazed at the way I could read his words and could get a feel of who he was as a person. Losing him at 9 years old left a void that was slightly filled by his words scribbled on the pages of his various journals. I picked up an old schoolbook and began to take short accounts of my daily activities.
Fast forward to back to school in September of 2000, when we had to write essays of how we spent our summer and our most memorable events in life, and I crafted an essay that won the attention of my English Teacher and in turn all the teachers in the school. It got posted on the notice board for all to read, and I was applauded by students and teachers captured by the way my words were woven together to create an image in their minds.
My passion was born, and I felt both joy and excitement encapsulate my mind every time I had to draft stories or create words for both print and Tv. With several books unpublished due to lack of exposure, I entered into university and bagged a degree in Biochemistry to join the work force and hopefully earn enough to continue my writing dream. Life threw me an interesting curveball that helped me widen my mind and in the last 7 years, I became a joint serial entrepreneur with partnership in seven different companies, however my dream as a budding writer always festered on the surface of my mind.
A Mother and so Much More
A mother of two energetic boys Chris and Theo, my life was definitely full and a combination of various endeavors. I woke up at 1:40 am one night in 2018 and felt inspired to write down a song I created to help my son with night terrors, and after one hour I realized I had written down a story instead of just a song.
It was quite a ride but through self-publishing, my first book Brave Chris was released on kindle. And just like that the writing bug had struck again and in 2020, I have two more books due to be released in December 2020.
Writing gives me a sense of fulfillment that is all that matters aside from raising my boys to become upstanding gentlemen. I look forward to gracing your bookshelves with more and more stories from my life.
