Catch me on the Flip Side

🌻🌻🌻🌻

It is incredibly odd to see a grown man with a rabbit. It was due to this oddity I picked up a copy of The Flip side.I dove into a most entertaining story set in the United Kingdom about a young man named Josh whose life encounters a convoluted series of bad events. It all begins with a breakup with his long-term girlfriend, their shared home, losing his job and finally moving back home with his parents. His only companion throughout his ordeal is a pet rabbit he got for his ex-girlfriend. He gets full custody of the rabbit and has to drag his pet along with the disaster experience he encounters.

When everything goes wrong, seemingly simultaneously, I believe it is very typical for anyone to question their decision-making skills. This line of thinking leads Josh into a frenzy of doubts about his current ability to discern what is right for his life, and he decides to start doing things differently with the help of a unique coin.

Flipping through the pages ( pun intended), we experience Josh using his coin to help with small and big decisions.  I enjoyed the book’s facts about the United Kingdom, which are littered across the book for our reading pleasure. Learning about obscure street names in Bristol helps with a feeling of kingship to the Queen’s country.  A coin becomes the major player in Josh’s new year as he navigates to being single, homeless and jobless. His rabbit, of course, wasn’t left out of his adventure.

It was a fun read. Go grab a copy,  and I will catch you on the flip side.
